Account Manager - Technical Sales

Summary:

Account Manager will create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers and will oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities from targeted prospects.

Job Terms:

Permanent, Full Time.

Responsibilities:

Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong and sustainable customer relationships to drive revenue growth and increase customer confidence, loyalty and product adoption
- Qualify customer’s needs against the company’s capabilities and resources to create sales quotes and contracts
- Overseeing customer negotiation of contracts and agreements
- Manage customer line-ups in order utilizing key customer milestones and deliverables
- Forecast and track key account metrics
Account Development:
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify and grow opportunities
- Develop new business with existing clients and identify areas of improvement to meet sales and corporate goals.    - Identify and solicit potential prospects to help grow existing customer portfolio.

Sales Team Development:
- Lead program managers in their supporting roles for the assigned accounts.     
- Coach a team of program managers to ensure a healthy customer portfolio growth.
- Mentor program managers in developing their professional skills and personal career growth.

Qualifications:

- Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Junior Account Manager, or relevant role.
- A post-secondary degree in mechanical engineering and/or a trade certificate in.            
tool making, welding/fabricating or related field is an asset.
- Proficiency in reading designs and GD&T.
- Strong computer skills: MS suite, CAD, CRM.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent multitasking, listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Availability to work extended hours and travel on a regular basis.
- Ability to travel internationally (valid driver’s license and passport required).
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail and tight deadlines.
- Natural ability to lead a team towards established goals and growth.
