Graphic Designer

Summary:

As an enthusiastic, highly organized and self-motivated Graphic Designer, you will be an integral part of our continued success through the creation and production of print and digital marketing media assets. Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, the incumbent will create and implement marketing graphic designs to support the Marketing team throughout the execution of graphic designs for events, tradeshows, campaigns and projects

Permanent, Full -Time

Responsibilities:

• Design creative on-trend graphics or concepts for new products and build an entire marketing brand campaigns that includes all marketing materials, print, digital materials, brand standards, consumer facing packaging
• Develop and maintain brand style guides for all corporate and commodity brands
• Offer supportive input during creative meetings by sharing creative concepts for customers’ requests, consumer outreach and marketing materials
• Assist with ongoing revisions to existing artwork, reworking of photography, digital assets, and producing press-ready materials for external suppliers
• Ensure the corporate branding graphics are consistent for all brands and consistent across all platforms
• Assist with asset development during photography or video productions
•  Other duties, tasks, special projects as requested
   

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing or Graphic Design or related field
• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and write for target audiences
• Knowledge of Social Media platforms and Google Analytics
• Experience in project management from concept ideation, through strategy and to finished product, with an eye for color, layout and typography
• The ability to produce deliverables with speed, excellence and accuracy
• Extreme attention to detail, including top-notch organizing and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to conduct research and analyze information efficiently
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite applications—Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and MS Office Suite
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple projects, work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Coachable in learning existing brand standards and able to identify opportunities/gaps
• Ability to create and pitch creative concepts to internal teams and customers
• Previous experience writing copy in the Automotive Manufacturing Sector is an asset
• Experience in photography and/or videography is asset
